Looking Back at the Future Minerals Forum 2025

From January 14–16, 2025, the Future Minerals Forum (FMF) took place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Held under the esteemed patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the event brought together more than 18,000 participants from 165 countries. With 405 distinguished speakers and 96 insightful sessions, the FMF served as a global platform to shape the future of the minerals industry.

The forum spotlighted key topics, including:

• Value-added processes in mining and the promotion of sustainable practices,
• optimization and global integration of supply chains,
• and infrastructure investments to drive growth and sustainability in the sector.

Technological Highlights by Becker Mining Systems

A Milestone Collaboration: Signing a Tripartite Letter of Intent

A key highlight of the forum was the signing of a tripartite Letter of Intent between Alkhorayef Mining, Becker Mining Systems AG, and REMA TIP TOP AG.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone as the three organizations join forces to transform Saudi Arabia's mining industry:

• Becker Mining Systems brings state-of-the-art technology and automation solutions to the table,
• REMA TIP TOP AG contributes its expertise in conveyor systems and wear protection,
• while Alkhorayef Mining provides critical market knowledge and local expertise.

Together, the partnership aims to develop innovative, sustainable, and efficient solutions tailored to the needs of Saudi Arabia’s rapidly growing mining sector. By aligning with the objectives of Vision 2030, this collaboration supports the Kingdom’s ambition to become a global hub for sustainable mining and industrial innovation.

A Forum of Opportunities and Success

The FMF 2025 was not only a hub of innovation but also a starting point for numerous high-impact partnerships. With the signing of 126 agreements and memoranda of understanding, totaling SAR 107 billion, the forum laid the foundation for projects that will drive exploration, sustainability, and innovation in mining.
