Becker Mining Systems smartcom® 150 Remote Tone Generator (VRTG) connects directly to the end of line of the leaky feeder network to provide an upstream tone to be monitored throughout the system. The VRTG is configured to communicate with the VRTG-HE Remote Tone Generator Head End which provides remote control of the Remote Tone Generator in the field.
Using Becker Mining Systems smartcom® 150 Remote Diagnostic Software the Remote Tone Generator Head End Controller can activate and/or deactivate the remote tone and adjust its frequency.
The smartcom® 150 Remote Tone Generator (VRTG) works in conjunction with the Remote Tone Generator Head End Controller (VRTG-HE) and the Rack Mount Spectrum Analyzer (RMSA-100) to provide a snapshot of the leaky feeder system health. Multiple Remote Tone Generators can be used simultaneously to monitor more than one area of the LF network.
