Friedrichsthal, October 4, 2007 - From September 2007 on, Dipl.-Ing. Stephan Becker (45) takes up the newly-created position as Vice President Technology with the mining supplier Becker Mining Systems AG based in Friedrichsthal, Germany. Mr Becker will mainly be responsible for Research & Development of the Becker group. Before, he was Managing Director of the South African subsidiary Walter Becker South Africa.

Becker Mining Systems was voted "High Performance Miner of the Year". The mining supplier was given the award at the Aachen International Mining Symposium (AIMS) held at the end of May. With the award, the organisers of the AIMS, the Institute of Mining Engineering I at the RWTH Aachen, rewarded the group?s international growth and innovative mining solutions.
